History

"Private W. E. L. Clapham (wounded) is the only son of Mr. Clapham, of Wills street, Ballarat East. He was a butcher by trade, 21 years of age, and had been connected with the military in New Zealand."[1]

Legacy

World War One service recognised on the Ballarat Avenue of Honour.
