History

Thomas Ellis Carter followed in the footsteps of his father Charles Carter in the trade of blacksmith and farrier.[1] The premises were located on Humffray Street, Ballarat.[2]

Thomas Carter's son, Thomas Ellis Carter Jnr also operated a farrier and blacksmithing business at the same address.[3]
