History

Phyllis Sutherland Murray Polson studied Architecture at the Ballarat School of Mines around 1915. She was one of the early women studying there. Her father, Angus Sutherland Murray Polson, was Principal of Ballarat College from 1913 to 1927.[1]

She did not work as an architect as no-one was prepared to employ a woman. Phyllis Polsno taught Maths and Art at Korowa in Melbourne for many years.[2]
