The hotel was in Specimen Hill (Ballarat East).[1]

History

In February 1869 an application was made to transfer the publican's license:

TO THE BENCH OF MAGISTRATES SITTING AT BALLARAT EAST.—I, EUGENE O'SULLIVAN, of Ballarat East, do hereby give notice that it is my INTENTION to APPLY to the Justices of the Court of Petty Sessions sitting at Ballarat East on the 17th February, for a CERTIFICATE authorising the issue of a TRANSFER of my PUBLICAN'S LICENSE for the House and Premises known as the CITY OF CORK HOTEL, situated on Specimen Hill, to WILLIAM M'CLEAN, of Ballarat East. Given under my hand this day of January, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine. EUGENE O'SULLIVAN.[1]
