The Crown Hotel was on the south east corner of Creswick Road and Macarthur Street, Ballarat.[1]

In June 1860, tenders were called for extensions to the hotel:
TENDERS required for Carpenters' and Joiners', Zinc-workers', Painters' and Glaziers' Work, in alterations and additions to the Crown Hotel, Creswick Road. Drawings and specifications may be seen until noon of Thursday, 7th inst., at the office of H. R. CASELLI, Architect, Webster street.[2]

- From at least June 1858 to May 1859 the publican was Mary Ann Corker.[3][4]
- In 1863 the publican was Josiah Ware.[5]
- In July 1864 the publican was J. W. Caldwell.[6]
