Background

Dubberlin & Co. established a boot, shoe, slipper and legging manufacturing business in 1884 in Main Road. Later, the boot manufactureres Dubberlin and Hall manufactured from premises on the corner of Dana Street and Lyons Street.[1]

It also had roomy and finely fitted apartments which faced Dana Street.
