George Edwin Crocker

George Edwin Crocker was a draper in Ballarat.

History

Crocker was born in 1879 in Ballarat, the son of George Crocker and Clara Walsh.[1]

He worked in the general drapers, millinery and outfitting business established by his father in Sturt Street, Ballarat. His younger brother, Gordon Crocker was killed at Gallipoli.

He married Ida Annie Hodgetts, the daughter of Peter James Hodgetts, operations manager of the Ballarat Tramway Company. They had three sons, Peter, George and John.[2]

Crocker died in 1946.[2]
