History

Graham Beanland was born on 22 June 1931[1] at Stawell. He was educated at Yallourn, Ballarat and Box Hill Technical Schools. Graham received a Diploma of Electrical Engineering at RMIT, a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Melbourne, a Diploma of Education at State College Hawthorn, and a Master of Business Administration at the University of Melbourne. His career started wit Engineering and management positions at the S.E.C. of Victoria (1952-1965), followed by the Managing Director of Doulton Insulators Pty Ltd (1965-1972). Graham Beanland's education career started with a Victorian Education Department position (1973-1975), and he was then mande Deputy Principal of the Ballarat School of Mines and Industries from November 1975-June 1976. Graham Beanland was Principal/Director of the Ballarat School of Mines from July 1976-15 March 1982. He later served as Director at Footscray College of TAFE, and General Manager - Operations at the TAFE Board (1982-1991).

He died on 08 March 2019.[2]

Legacy

Graham Beanland Walk is located outside the E.J. Barker Library on the Federation University Mt Helen Campus.
