History

Henry Curwen-Walker was born in Tasmania in about 1844, the son of John Curwen-Walker and Ann Louisa Stallard.[1]

Curwen-Walker was the manager of the Union Bank at Piggoreet.

He died at Bungaree in 1909:[1]

The death has taken place of another Ballarat pioneer, Mr. H. Curwen-Walker, who was a native of Tasmania. He came to Ballarat in the early digging days, and for some time was manager of the Union Bank at Piggoreet. He subsequently was interested in pastoral pursuits. His son is a well-known local solicitor.[2]
