History
Isaiah Pearce was born in Cornwall, England in 1844. He sailed to Australian on the Great Britain, the first team of the English cricketers also being on board. He first mined at Burra, South Australia.[1]
In 1873 Isaiah and his brother James Pearce started a public crushing company at Canadian.[2]
Isaiah Pearce served multiple terms as Mayor for the Municipality of Ballarat East.[3]

Family
Isaiah Pearce married Miss Carah at Castlemaine. She was born in Adelaide, South Australia. The couple had six children.[4]
