The hotel was in Main Street.[1]

History

On Boxing Day 1866 there were problems at the hotel:

Green Bygrave, the landlord of the Metropolitan hotel, Main street, deposed that on Boxing night the defendant came into the dancing room very much intoxicated, and threatened to do all manner of things to the plaintiff. The plaintilf having been examined, the defendant was ordered to be bound over in his own recognisance to keep the peace.[1]
