History

Percy A. Trompf a City Council Scholarship 1917 and a Senior Technical Scholarship in 1918. He was the Ballarat School of Mines Students' Magazine Editorial Staff Honorary Treasurer, in 1922. In the same year he represented the Ballarat School of Mines in the First 18 Football Team and the Cricket Team.[1]

Ballarat Student Wins Poster Prize
LONDON, Thursday. — Percival A. Tromps [sic], of Ballarat technical arts school, has won the Orient Company's first prize of £30, exclusive of any payment for use, for a design in the annual industrial poster competition organized by the Royal Arts Society.[2]
