S. Solomon was from London. He was a photorgrapher with rooms on Main Road, Ballarat (opposite Bakery Hill). In 1862 he advertised that portraits were taken with the new collodian process. A complete photograph in case cost 5 shillings upwards. Solomons also taught photography on easy terms. [1]
