The Railway Hotel is situated in Gingell Street.

History

Shortly after 8 o'clock on Thursday night 15th October 1896, the Railway Hotel, a two-storied weather-board building, containing 15 rooms, and was entirely destroyed by fire. Mrs. Romey, the wife of the licensee, just managed to escape with her two children, whom she was putting to bed, when the building was discovered to be burning fiercely. The origin of the fire is unknown. The hotel, was erected in 1856. [1]

The license of the Railway Hotel was transferred from A. E. Robinson to Kate Jackson in December 1915. [2]
