History

Ralph (Bill) Taylor studied Engineering Drawing and Machine Shop Practice at the Ballarat School of Mines, and was apprenticed at Ronaldson and Tippett's.

He joined the New Zealand M.V. in Melbourne in April 1939, as a refrigerating engineer. He was killed at sea in February 1942, and was 6th Engineer of the ship at the time of his death.[1]
