1856

December 30 ACCIDENT. - On Monday afternoon last, as Timothy Chissels, a mechanic employed in the removal of a machine situated on the creek below the position occupied by the machine of the Steiglitz Quartz Crushing Company, was assisting in loading a large fly wheel of two tons weight, by some means or other the wheel lost its balance and fell, in its fall grazing the shoulder and falling upon his left leg, breaking it above the ankle. He is now under medical treatment, and progressing as well as might be expected.[1]
