Thomas Barnes was a carpenter operating from premises on Errard Street, Ballarat in 1858.[1]

History

Thomas Crockley Barnes was born in 1826 in England. He was a carpenter by trade, and arrived in Australian in 1854 where he settled at Learmonth. T.C. Barnes was a grocer, baker and undertaking business. He had a timberyard beside his store. [2]

Barnes died in 1874 at which time his son Frederick took over the business. [2]
