- Mr. W. L. C. Bailey
- Mr. Walter Lewis Craig Bailey, of Rowlands Ltd. Ballarat, died sud denly at his home, Wendouree-parade, on Monday night. He was 73.
- In earlier years he was a gold prospector, and for a time managed a cattle station at Fowler's Gap, on the Queensland-South Australian stock route. He was an old Ballarat Collegian, and was associated with various sporting organisations, in cluding the Ballarat Turf Club, Miners' Turf Club and the Central Bowling Club, and was a member of Ballarat Old Colonists' Association. As a young man he rowed with the Ballarat club and played with the now. defunct Ballarat Cricket Club. He leaves a widow. The funeral will take place at Portland to-day.[1]
