Accommodation and Food Services

This includes operators “providing short-term accommodation for visitors and/or meals, snacks, and beverages for consumption by customers both on and off-site.” (Trewin and Pink, 2006, p. 262)

Although such operators do not fall strictly within the scope of the Ballarat and District Industrial Heritage Project, such operators may have performed secondary industrial activities that contributed to the industrial heritage of Ballarat and district and should be included here.
