Albert E. Williams
History
Albert E. Williams attended the Humffray Street State School. In 1912 he was awarded a scholarship to the Ballarat Technical Art School. In 1983 he became one of 83 boys who formed the first intake from primary schools to establish the Ballarat Junior Technical School. The course took two years, and he was awarded certificate No. 2 in 1915.
In 1921 Albert Williams was appointed to the staff of the Ballarat Junior Technical School where he taight for two years. Between 1923 and 1928 he taught at other technical Schools, being appointed to the Ballarat Technical Art School in 1928 where he taught until 1964. He retired from the Education Department in 1964 as Principal of the Brighton Technical School.
Albert Williams died in 1987.
