Albert John Rowe (no 719), was aged 22 years old when he enlisted in the Australian Imperial Forces on 1st September 1914, he embarked from Australia on the 18th October 1914 and embarked to come back to Australia on the 8th October 1918. [1]
Lance Corporal A. Rowe were given a sincere and very hearty welcome back to the town of his birth, long before the arrival of the motor car the school children were present, and the people were coming in all directions, anxious to get another glimpse of one of the lads they had known so long. [2]

This person is listed on the Timor Primary School Honour Roll and the Bowenvale Honor Roll
