- KILLED AT WORK.
- A FALL OF BLUESTONE. BALLARAT, Wednesday.
- George Munro (2), a single man, 23 years old, was killed at Alfredton Quarry this morning. In company with William Toy, son of the proprietor of the quarry, he went to work at 7.30, and commenced by holding a drill for Toy to strike on. Ten minutes after the start Foy stepped aside to remove his coat, and a piece of bluestone. weighing two tons, came away from the face, and fell on the top of Munro, whose head was smashed to an unrecognisable mass.[1]
