In 1898 the central office of Amalgamated Mining Managers' Association of Australasia was located at the Ballarat Mining Exchange, Lydiard Street, Ballarat.[1]

When the Amalgamated Mining Managers' Association was founded in 1885 John Rowe was a foundation member. The Association elected him President in 1901.

John Sharpe was the Central Secretary in 1898.[2]
