Archibald J. Fisken

Archibald James Fisken was a Ballarat grazier ans President of the Shire of Buninyong.
His death in 1923 was noted in the Argus newspaper:
The death occurred suddenly on Saturday at Endion Flats, South Yarra, of Mr. Archibald James Fisken, of Lal Lal Estate, Yendon, near Ballarat. Mr. Fisken, who was aged 56 years, and was a well-known grazier, had been in ill-health for some time, and had been in a private hospital, but he had recovered sufficiently to be able to leave the hospital and go to stay with some friends. For many years Mr. Fisken was a member of the Buninyong Shire Council, and he was president of the shire at the time of his death. Some years ago he unsuccessfully contested the Wellington Province seat in the Legislative Council. Mr. Fisken had been a leading member of the Ballarat Agricultural and Pastoral Society for many years. He took an active interest in sport, and was present at the cricket matches in which the Ballarat team was engaged during the country cricket week.
