- PARKER.—Mr and Mrs J. Parker, of Lal Lal, have been advised that their sons, Sergeant J. R. Parker and Driver A. C. Parker, are returning on the Trasos Montes, which is due in Melbourne on the 18th inst. They have both seen lour years’ service, and have gone right through the campaign without wound or sickness. Clifford; — Mrs Clifford, of 513 Armstrong street, has been advised 'that her son, Gnr Gerald Clifford, is returning by the Sardinia, due in Melbourne on or about 7th June. Cook. —Mrs F. Andrewartha, of Peel street, has received, word that her nephew, Pte T. H. Cook, will arrive by the Armagh about 20th May, after four years’ service Carmichael. Mrs Carmichael, 4 Cameron street, has received word that her husband, Pte Arthur Carmichael, who arrived by the Port Denison on Saturday, is returning to Ballarat by the express this evening. Higgins-—Mr D. Higgins. of Edward street. Sebastopol, received, a cable from his son Cpl T. Higgins, M.M.. on-Saturday that he was leav ing England by the Karagola on 1st May. The latest news received by letter by Mr Higgins from his son was to the effect that be was waiting until his brother Arthur was also able to return. Mr Higgins is therefore looking forward to the return of his two sons by the Karagola. Murray — Mrs S. Murray, of Fussell street, has been advised that her hus band, Cpl E. T. Murray, of the 24th Battalion, is returning home by the transport- Trasos Montes, arriving about 18th inst. Scott.— Mrs C. Scott. 53 Humffray street south (late Italian Gully) has been notified that her son, Spr C. J. Scott, Australian Engineers, is returning by the transport Trasos Montes, due in Melbourne on 18th inst. She Scott has seen three years and five months’ active service. Walsh — Mrs J. Walsh, Spencer street-, Sebastopol, has received word that her son. Pte M. V. Walsh of the 14th Battalion, is returning to Australia per Armagh, which is expected to reach Melbourne about 22nd May. Pte Walsh has seen 3 1/2 years’ service Wormald - Mrs F. G. Evans, of 308 Brougham street, has been notified that her brother. Pte H. Wormald. is returning by the transport Trasos Montes, due in Melbourne about 18th May. Pte Wormald sailed in June, 1915, and was on the transport Southland when it was torpedoed. Cribble—-Lieut F. Gribble, son of Mr W. Gribble, tailor, of Sturt street, is returning by the Poona, which will land troops to-day at 4 o’clock. The medical examination will take place to-morrow morning, and Lieut. Gribble will reach Ballarat on Thursday even ing by the Adelaide express. Dark. Word has been received by Mr W. J. Dark, of Bridge street, that his only son, Pte Ernest Dark, of the 6th Field Ambulance, is returning by the transport Marathon, due to arrive on 5th June. Pte Dark enlisted early in 1915, and returned to Australia on transport duty at the end of the year, but sailed again for the frontin January, 1916.[1]
