The Ballarat Paper Mill was located in Sutton Street and was formerly used as the Guncotton Factory.

After World War Two the Ballarat Paper Mills took over the Guncotton Factory.[1]

In the 1970 Sands and McDougall Directory of Ballarat the Ballarat Paper Mills was situated at Elizabeth Street, Ballarat.

In the 1970s paper would come from Tasmania, and be coated in white clay from Pittong, near Skipton. The company as know as Appm (Australian Pulp and Paper Mill).[2]
