Canadian Gully just south of Golden Point is one of a series of gullies emerging from the White Horse Ranges and it contained some of the goldfields most valuable nuggets and leads.[1]

Canadian was among the first areas to be worked on the Ballarat goldfields. The name reflects the nationality of the miners who sought there fortune in the area.[2]
