Charles S. Benoit, son of C.G. Benoit, was born at Ballarat in 1859 at was educated at Holden's Pleasant Street State School. He was an iron moulder with Munro's Agriculural Implement Works for many years. Charles Benoit and G. Williams established the Sun Foundry in Mair Street. Benoit was one of the promoters and in 1911 a member of the first board of G. Munro Pty Ltd. [1]
