History
Daisy Valerie Corkill was born 1884 in Ballarat, she spent five years working as a trained nurse at the Crowra and Wangratta Hospitals. She enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force (Australian Army Nursing Service)on 10th June 1917, aged 33 years.
She left Melbourne on the "Indarra" on the 26th November 1917 and disembarked at Southhampton on 16th January 1918. She served on the AANS AIF No2 A.H.S Kanowna
She was awarded the Star 1914/15 medal, British War and the Victory Medals.
Daisy died at the Lady Growie Red Cross Home on 26th October 1959, aged 75. [1]
