History
Born at Smeaton in 1874, David Ronaldson was the son of John Ronaldson. David was educated at Smeaton Primary School and gained an Engineering qualification at the Ballarat School of Mines.[1]
David Lindsay Ronaldson served an apprenticeship at James Smith's Foundry[2], his brother Adam Ronaldson, and Herbert Tippett established the engineering works Ronaldson and Tippett. David Ronaldson was a committee member of the Forward Ballarat Movement, and Director of the Lal Lal Firebrick & Pottery Co. [3]
David Ronaldson died in 1937.
