Background
- Honor Avenue at Drummond.- An honor avenue in memory of district soldiers was opened at Drummond yesterday in the presence of a large attendance of local residents and visitors. Several Parliamentary repre sentatives, including the State Prem ier and Mr. Jowett, M.H.R., were ex pected to be present, but: were un avoidably detained, and sent, apologies. The Hon. D. McLeod, however, attended; and delivered a stirring address. An extended report of the proceedings is held over.[1]
