Dry Diggings State School No. 1095 Honour Roll housed at Daylesford RSL. This honour board was the gift of T.H. Avison and H.L. Dalman.
UNVEILING OF HONOR BOARD.
An Honor Board, presented by Mr T. H. Avison and Mr H. L. Dalman, was unveiled on Thursday afternoon by Mr J. Powell, a loyal supporter of the State School Patriotic Fund.
On it are the names of the following fourteen old scholars: Joseph Colmo, Archie Campbell, Harold Ford, John Freeman, George Ind, James Patterson, George Patterson, Thomas Pedretti, James Phillips, Willie Russell, John Shimmin, John Watson and William Wise.
All of these boys have fought the battles of the Empire in France, and of the number six have laid down their lives for King and Country. They are Joseph Colmo, Archie Campbell, George Patterson, James Phillips, John Watson and William Wise. Dry Diggings has done nobly.[1]
