History
Samuel Albert Eric (Eric) Springfield was born at Broomfield, Victoria. He enlisted for service during World War One in Brisbane in August 1915. Eric Springfield was involved with the Battle of Fromelles on 19 July 1916. He was badly wounded on 24 October 1916 near Flers, and died not long after.
Legacy
Recognised on the Eganstown Avenue of Honour.
