Eagle Foundry

Also known as White's Eagle Foundry.
Background
History

In 1904 Eagle Foundry was situated at 48-52 Dana Street.[1]
In 1909 Thomas Jelbart and his sons started Jelbart Engineering in a corner of Eagle Foundry. They moved this business to Cowley's Eureka Foundry in 1915.[2]
In 1906 John White advertised that Eagle Foundry had been established for 38 years and manufactured horseworks, chaff cutters, lawn rollers, columns, friezes, balustrades, ventilators, and machine castings.
Until 1952 Eagle Foundry did most of their casting with 1% nickel for strength.
Site
In 2011 the building was still in existence and was known as 402-404 Dana St.[3]
