EGERTON.
Egerton Mascotte —S.E. reef drive extended 86 feet; total from plat, 174 feet. West reef drive extended 50 feet; total from plat, 217 feet. Shall be over 100 feet in tko S.E. reef drive this week, and shall put up No. 8 rise to cut the gutter at this point, and continue the reef drive as rapidly as possible; also extend W. roef drive another 25 feet. Contractors for plant erection have placed the second puddler in position, and the foundations for boiler are now being built in. Crosscutting to prove'width of gutter at No. 2 rise. A company is being floated in Geelong for the purpose of working the deep alluvial on Glover’s lease, situate just south of the township of Egerton, and adjoining the Egerton Main Deads, owned by an Adelaide Company, which shares recently sold at £2O each. It is anticipated that operations will be going by the new year.[1]


EGERTON. - A parcel of 100 tons of stone from the Lord Kitchener mine, Meredith is now being put through Mr J. W. Glover's battery. The stone which looks promising, is being conveyed here by rail in small bags.[2]
