Ernest Albert Widgery worked as a motorman on the Ballarat Tramways.
History
Ernest Widgery was born in Shepparton in 1887, the son of Hector Norman Widgery and Louisa Victoria Poole.[1]
He worked as an arc lamp attendant, joining the Electric Supply Company of Victoria as a casual motorman on the Ballarat Tramways in 1912. By 1919 he was listed as being an acting motorman. His younger brother, Hector N. Widgery, was also employed as a motorman.
Widgery had a son, Stanley Ernest, born on October 3, 1917, at Ballarat.[2].
