Frederick Wray was Mayor of Ballarat in 1848-1849. (See http://bih.federation.edu.au/index.php/Ballarat)
F.C. Wray unveiled a memorial plaque relating a pioneers Memorial on the 3rd May 1961.
He was a member of the Old Colonists' Association of Ballarat.

- The Ballarat Pioneers' Memorial Fund now stands at £936, it was reported at the formal half-yearly meeting of the committee, presided over by Mr. F. C. Wray.[1]
