History

'Perc' Bawden was educated at Sebastopol Primary[1] School and the Ballarat School of Mines, having studied Metallurgy and Assaying. He workes as an assayer for Edwards' Pyrites & Ore Reduction Co., Ballarat.[2] He was killed on or around 04 October 1917 during the Battle of Broodseinde, Belgium.[3]

Legacy

The World War One service of perc Bawden is recognised on the Ballarat Avenue of Honour.
