History

George Ellis married Pearl, and they had two chldren - Elwyn and Noel.

George Ellis (6501) enlisted during World War One and served with the 8th Battalion. He died on 30 July 1957 aged 60 and is buried in the Ballaarat Old Cemetery.

Legacy

The World War One service of George Ellis is recognised on the Ballarat Avenue of Honour.
