Background

Grigsby’s Foundry was a father and son team, and conducted business at 411 Mair Street for 45 years. They produced high quality castings in bronze and alumninium for industries around Ballarat.[1]

Including its initial establishment in Mair Street, this business operated for 75 years from 1925 to 2000. (ref. Bevan Grigsby, July 2021)

History

When the Yarrowee Foundry closed in 1976, at its closure auction (and amongst purchases by others), Bevan Grigsby purchased some of the core boxes for Grigsby's Foundry. (ref. Bevan Grigsby, July 2021)
