History
Harold Barber enlisted with his mate Victor A. Chan when World War One was declared.[1]
Around midnight on 25 July 1916 Harold Barber was acting as a stretcher-bearer to the battalion during fighting around the village of Pozieres, and was shot and killed.[2]
Legacy
The World War One service of Harold Barber is recognised on the Ballarat Avenue of Honour.
