Henry Kay

History

Henry Kay (no 5705) was a Driver before enlisting in the Australian Imperial Army (8th Battalion) 1st February 1916 aged 19 years. He embarked at Melbourne per H.M.A.T "Ayershire" 3rd July, 1917.

Killed in action on the field in France 2nd February 1917 and is buried in the ANZAC section 3rd Echelon G.H.Q.,British Expeditionary Forces.

He was awarded the Star 1914/15, British War Medal, Victory Medal and a memorial plaque " Where the Australians Rest"

This person is listed on the Timor Primary School Honour Roll and the Bowenvale Honor Roll
