Herbert George Greenwood served with the AIF during World War One.

History

Bert Greenwood was killed in the first landings on Gallipoli in 1915:

GREENWOOD.—Killed in action, on or about 25th April, 1915, at Gallipoli, Lance-Sergeant George Herbert (Bert), dearly-beloved son of Abraham and Sarah Geenwood, of 1319 Dana street. Duty always.[1]

Legacy

World War One service recognised on the Ballarat Avenue of Honour.
