Horace Wills

History

Horace Lewis Wills, service number 29592, was 24 years old when he join the Australian Imperial Army on the 15th of April 1916, he was a driver in the Australian Field Artillery. He embarked at Melbourne on the Aeneas on the 2nd October 1916 for Plymouth, he then left for France on the Folkstone on the 13th April 1917.

He returned to Australia on the Karmala on 1st July 1919 and was discharged on the 2nd October 1919. Horace was awarded the 1914/15 Star, British Memorial and the Victory medals.
