Hugh Norman Deady, No 661, was a hairdresser before he enrolled in the Australian Imperial forces, as a private in F Company 8th Battalion, Australian Postal Corps. He left Australia 26th August 1914 and returned to Australia on 9th December 1918, served in Gallipoli and returned to Australia 9th December 1918.
He was awarded the Star 1914/15, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal
