J. & J. McDonald

J & J McDonald were plumbers and gas fitters situated on Sturt Street, near the Post Office, and on Eyre Street, in Ballarat in 1879. Their letterhead of the same year lists them as manufacturers of baths, water closets, galvanized iron and zinc as well as fitters of force & lift pumps.[1]

Background

One of this partnership was John Young McDonald (1837-1917).

In 1887 they were advertising as plumbers and slaters operating from premises on Sturt Street and Eyre Street, Ballarat in 1860.[2]
