J. Len. Groat

History

John Leonard Groat (12458) was a Lance Corporal with the 10th Field Ambulance. He was killed in action on 16 October 1917. At that time his father was living at 419 Armstrong Street south, Ballarat. Groat won the Military Medal.

Legacy

World War One service recognised on the Ballarat Avenue of Honour.

Grout's medals are held by the Ballarat RSL.
