James McHutchison was proprietor of a bookbinding, printing, engraving and lithographer business that had premises on Sturt Street.
History
According to the 1875 Ballarat Directory McHutchison the bookbinder was situated at 6 Sturt Street. In their letterhead of 1879, the business was listed as being situated on 9 Lydiard Street. They also listed their services as being a paper ruler and account book manufacturer.[1]
In 1887 the Australasian Federal Directory listed this business as still in operation on Lydiard Street.[2]
