Obituary

Mr Bray, the well known, coachbuilder, of Armstrong street, north, sustained a severe loss by the death of his wife, which took place on Monday night. Mrs Bray has for many years been in indifferent health. Her physical weakness, however, not only developed in her a fine Christian characterl but drew from her friends and acquaintances the most ten der thoughts and kindly impulses, for one who had suffered more or less inten sely for the past eleven years. Mrs Bray was born, at Connewarre, near Geelong, and from her earliest years took a deep and lasting interest in things per taining to church work, which she con tinued until forced by ill health to re linquish active work. but never her devotion. Patiently enduring to the end she passed peacefully away at the age of 54 years, leading a sorrowing husband and one son, and hosts, of friends, to mourn their loss. The funeral takes place to-day at the Old Cemetery.[4]
