John C. Muller
John Clifford Muller served with the A.I.F. during World War One. He was born at Ballarat East on 17 June 1894.
History
Muller was the son of Theodore and Selina Muller.[1] He was a saddler at Golden Point.[2]
Muller enlisted in the 8th Battalion on 17 August 1914.[3][1]
Muller died from wounds on 25 July 1915, at Gaba Tepe on the hospital ship "Somali", after being wounded in action at Gallipoli.[1] He had received a compound fracture of the skull from a piece of shrapnel.[1]
Legacy
World War One service recognised on the Ballarat Avenue of Honour. His tree, No. 6, was planted on 4 June 1917, by Miss E. Scott.[3]
